Why is the yachtzone boatmarket for free?
In our view, the question should be why classified ads in the internet should entail costs at all. The value of one single ad is hardly measurable. Yachtzone refinances partially through commercial advertising.
Are there any fees for the classifieds?
No. The classifieds come for free - no matter how long they are displayed.
Are only classifieds with used boats for free? Can I also promote new yachts?
Also classifieds of new yachts are for free. Boat brokers or wharfts may promote their new boat models as well.
How can you offer an unlimited number of fotos?
Economically it is not necessary to limit the number of fotos. Yachtzone compresses the fotos to a format optimised for the use on computer screens. Thus there is few traffic per picture.
Which fotos may I upload?
You must have the right of use for the fotos. Normally, you would have made the fotos yourself. If you want to use fotos or pictures of others, ask the copyright owner first.
May I link to my website?
Yes. Simply include a link to your website in your profile. Your website URL will be shown next to your classifieds. Search engines will follow those links.
Why do I have to acknowledge my classifieds every 3 months?
This is important because it ensures that all classifieds are up to date. In our view, three months are a good period for that.
Are my data on yachtzone secure?
Your data (like e-mail addresses) will not be given to third parties. We only send administrative e-mails to our users. We further try to make the data as secure as possible. E-mail addresses and passwords are stored on our server in an encrypted form.
Where can I place offers for yacht charter or sailing schools?
At present, general offers for charter or sailing schools can be placed in the boat market as well. There You can exactly describe your offer. Just indicate that the price e.g. relates to the charter per week. If there is much interest in classifieds for charters or schools, we will open a seperate category.
